Nifty ends above 8600
The Nifty saw biggest fall in four weeks.
The 50-share index was up 19.90 points or 0.2 percent at 8611.15.
The Sensex was up 38.43 points or 0.1 percent at 27865.96.
GAIL, ONGC, M&M, Tata Steel and SBI were top gainers while Cipla, ITC, HUL, Coal India, Dr Reddy's and HUL were losers in the Sensex.

सेंसेक्स-निफ्टी में हल्की गिरावट, मिडकैप शेयरों में मजबूती
कल की गिरावट के बाद घरेलू बाजार में आज भी गिरावट बरकरार है। सेंसेक्स और निफ्टी में 0.25 फीसदी तक की गिरावट देखने को मिली है। गिरावट के इस माहौल में सेंसेक्स 70 अंकों तक टूटा है, जबकि निफ्टी 8600 के नीचे है।
हालांकि आज मिडकैप और स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में अच्छी खरीदारी देखने को मिल रही है। बीएसई का मिडकैप इंडेक्स 1 फीसदी की तेजी के साथ 13050 के करीब पहुंच गया है। वहीं बीएसई का स्मॉलकैप इंडेक्स भी 1 फीसदी मजबूत होकर 12640 के करीब पहुंच गया है।
एफएमसीजी, मेटल और कैपिटल गुड्स शेयरों में बिकवाली हावी है। हालांकि ऑयल एंड गैस, पावर, आईटी और पीएसयू बैंक शेयरों में अच्छी खरीदारी आई है। बैंक निफ्टी सपाट होकर 19175 के स्तर पर नजर आ रहा है, जबकि निफ्टी का पीएसयू बैंक इंडेक्स 1 फीसदी बढ़ा है। बीएसई के ऑयल एंड गैस इंडेक्स में 1.3 फीसदी और पावर इंडेक्स में 1 फीसदी की तेजी आई है। निफ्टी का एफएमसीजी इंडेक्स 0.8 फीसदी गिरा है।

Google to set up Cloud Region in Mumbai
Google will open a new 'Cloud Region' in Mumbai that will help the tech giant offer its cloud platform services to developers and enterprise customers in India. Expected to be live in 2017, the local region in India will help make Google cloud platform services even faster for Indian customers, Google said in a statement.
The announcement was made at the Horizon event in San Francisco. However, the company did not disclose any financial details. The business-to-business (B2B) based Cloud services have also been re-branded as Google Cloud. With more than one billion end-users, Google Cloud has gained significant traction in India and across the world. Its global customers include Snap Inc (formerly SnapChat), Niantic Labs (Pokemon Go), Telus International, and Evernote, among others.

Dollar up as Deutsche Bank woes spark run to safety
The dollar rose today as Deutsche Bank's woes sparked buying of safer currencies while a US economy upgrade boosted expectations for a rate hike. Markets were spooked by a report that several hedge funds had withdrawn their investments in Germany's biggest lender over worries about its viability.
Those fears come after US authorities slapped the bank with a USD 14 billion penalty over its sale of mortgage-backed securities prior to the 2008 financial crisis. Deutsche Bank opens digital factory, hires 400 specialists
Deutsche Bank opened a center for software developers and IT and financial specialists in Frankfurt on Thursday, joining other lenders in developing products for digital banking.
Germany's biggest lender said the so-called digital factory brought together 400 technology and financial professionals from 14 countries. It plans to double staffing to 800 by 2018.
The aim of digital factories is to make internal financial processes faster, simpler and more secure, as well as to meet rising customer demand for products such as more flexible mobile payments and banking options.
"We don't want to be driven by digitalization; we want to be in the driver's seat," said Christian Sewing, Deutsche Bank's board member responsible for the endeavor.
The lender, which has similar tech centers in New York, London and Berlin, plans to invest 750 million euros in the effort through 2020, including 200 million in this year alone.

Mallya Bets on Judiciary for relief from Criminal Cases
A defiant liquor baron Vijaya Mallya on Thursday asserted that he would get judicial relief soon from criminal charges filed against him by a consortium of banks for defaulting on loans his defunct airline raised. "I have a great faith in the Indian judicial system and I am sure judicial relief will come our way sooner than later," Mallya said in a transcript read out in absentia at the 100th annual general meeting (AGM) here of the United Breweries (Holdings) Ltd as he is in London since March 2 when he left India.
Terming the grounding of Kingfisher Airlines as a business failure, Mallya said actions by various government departments against his were unprecedented in the Indian corporate history. "What started as a genuine business failure of Kingfisher Airlines has turned out to be a nightmare despite the fact that the business had failed due to high fuel prices, adverse govern policies, high taxation and the failure of IAE V2500 engines," claimed Mallya addressing the shareholders as the company's chairman. V2500 engines of the International Aero Engines (IAE) power the Airbus A320 family of passenger aircraft.

ICICI Prudential Life Shares lists below its Issue Price
Shares of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd on Thursday changed hands at a lower price in the markets on its debut as against its issue price of Rs 334.
The stock closed at Rs 297.55 in the NSE after opening at Rs 330. The company raised Rs 6,057 crore, coming out with a premium initial public offer (IPO) recently which was oversubscribed by just over 10 per cent.
During the intra-day trade, the stock touched a high of Rs 333.90 just short of its issue price and a low of Rs 295.15 and closed at Rs 297.55.

NHPC in pact with Rajasthan Government
NHPC said it has signed a power purchase pact with Rajasthan as well as Inox Ltd for a 50 mw wind power project in the state.Wind power purchase agreement has been singed amongst Rajasthan Government, NHPC Ltd and Inox Ltd on September 28 for 50 mw wind power project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan," NHPC Ltd said in a filing to BSE.
As per the PPA, Rajasthan government will purchase the power generated from the project," the filing said. During FY'16, NHPC power stations achieved the generation of 23404 million units (MU). NHPC is engaged in the construction of 5 projects aggregating to a total installed capacity of 4290 MW including 1000 mw (Pakal Dul hydroelectric project) being executed through JV company. Ten projects of 7,151 mw are awaiting clearances/ government approval for their implementation including three projects of 1,186 mw to be executed through subsidiary/joint venture companies.

कार्बोरंडम मुरुगप्पा ग्रुप की बड़ी कंपनी है, वहीं वीनती ऑर्गेनिक्स स्पेश्यालिटी केमिकल कंपनी है, उनका ग्लोबल मार्केट शेयर लगभग 45 फीसदी है। लंबी अवधि के निवेशकों को इन दोनों मिडकैप कंपनियों को गिरावट पर लंबे समय के लिए खरीदना चाहिए। पराग ठक्कर के मुताबिक आरबीआई की दरों में 0.25 फीसदी तक की कटौती आने की उम्मीद है।

Shares in Asia mixed as China heads for long holiday next week
Asian shares were mixed on Friday with investors keeping tabs on local data sets and noting an expected outcome for the Caixin China manufacturing PMI.
The Nikkei 225 fell 1.55%, while the S&P/ASX 200 dropped 0.80% and the Shanghai Composite rose 0.08% ahead a major holiday period starting next week.
The Caixin manufacturing PMI for September came in at 50.1 as expected with holidays in China next week in focus going forward. "The readings for the manufacturing PMI over the past three months seem to indicate that the economy has begun to stabilise," Zhengsheng Zhong, director of macroeconomic analysis at Caixin said. But Zhong cautioned that an increasingly strained fiscal budget could pose a risk to sustainable growth. "Given that the growth rate of fiscal income has slowed recently while expenditures have swung, there is insufficient momentum to drive future economic growth, and there is a risk that industrial output may decline."
The official China manufacturing PMI for September from the National Bureau of Statistics and China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing will be released on Saturday and came in at 50.4 in August which was the highest since October 2014.
Nifty starts October series above 8600; Sensex, Midcap volatile
The Nifty continued to hover around 8600 level. The Sensex was down 17.64 points at 27809.89 and the Nifty down 7.05 points at 8584.20.
According to Ripples Advisory the market breadth was marginally positive as about 877 shares advanced against 684 declining shares on the BSE.

पाकिस्तान को मुंहतोड़ जवाब, 8 आतंकी ठिकाने किए तबाह
भारत ने उड़ी हमले का करारा जबाव दिया है। भारत ने पाकिस्तान अधिकृत कश्मीर में अंदर घुसकर आतंकवादी ठिकाने पर हमला कर उसे नेस्तानाबूत कर दिया। खबर है कि इस स्पेशल ऑपरेशन में आतंकवादियों के 8 लॉन्चिंग पैड तबाह कर दिया। डीजीएमओ लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल रणबीर सिंह ने प्रेस कॉनफ्रेंस कर ये दावा किया कि इस हमले में आतंकवादियों को भारी नुकसान हुआ है जबकि भारतीय सुरक्षा बलों को कोई नुकसान नहीं पहुंचा है।
कल रात साढ़े बारह बजे से लेकर सुबह साढ़े चार बजे तक ये ऑपरेशन चला। खबरें है कि भारत ने पाकिस्तान अधिकृत कश्मीर की सीमा में 3 किलोमीटर अंदर घुस कर इस ऑपरेशन को अंजाम दिया। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कल रात इस पर बैठक की और हमले को मंजूरी दी।
डीजीएमओ रणबीर सिंह ने ये भी कहा है कि सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक को खत्म कर दिया गया है और अभी निकट भविष्य में इस तरह की स्ट्राइक का कोई इरादा नहीं है। उन्होंने आतंकवाद के खिलाफ जंग में पाकिस्तान से सहयोग की उम्मीद जताई और कहा भारत किसी भी चुनौती का सामना करने के लिए तैयार है लेकिन आतंकवादियों को भारत में नहीं घुसने देंगे।
पाकिस्तान के रक्षा मंत्री ख्वाजा आसिफ ने पीओके में फायरिंग की बात कबूली है। आपको बता दें कि इससे पहले पाकिस्तान आर्मी ने सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक की बात से इनकार किया है और इसे सीमापार गोलीबारी बताया है।

Indo-Pak tensions drag Sensex 465pts, Nifty below 8600 on expiry
The market butchered on the day of F&O expiry, posting the biggest one-day fall in last three months Thursday as investors opted for profit booking due to elevated geopolitical tensions at India and Pakistan border. However, benchmark indices were higher in morning trade following a rally in global peers that outperformed India after surge in oil prices on OPEC meet.
The market posted higher ever turnover of Rs 11.5 lakh crore. The 30-share BSE Sensex crashed 573 points intraday and ended below the psychological 28000 level. The index closed at 27827.53, down 465.28 points or 1.64 percent. The 50-share NSE Nifty ended below 8600 level for the first time since August 26.
It hit an intraday low of 8558.25, before closing down 153.90 points or 1.76 percent at 8591.25. However, foreign institutional investors as well as domestic insitutional investors were net buyers amid market correction. FIIs net bought Rs 3,413.37 crore and DIIs Rs 1,630.88 crore worth of shares.

सेना की कार्रवाई की खबर के साथ ही बाजार ने सारी बढ़त गंवा दी है। दरअसल पाकिस्तान को भारत ने करारा जवाब दिया है। भारतीय सेना ने बीती राहत पाक एलओसी में सर्जिकल ऑपरेशन किया है। इस खबर के बाद से ही सेंसेक्स और निफ्टी में जोरदार बिकवाली हावी हो गई है। बिकवाली के इस दबाव में सेंसेक्स 550 अंकों तक लुढ़क गया, तो निफ्टी 8600 के नीचे फिसल गया। सेंसेक्स और निफ्टी में 2 फीसदी की गिरावट देखने को मिली है।
सेना के एलओसी पर सर्जिकल ऑपरेशन पर बाजार ने जरूर तुरंत असर दिखाया है, लेकिन आगे बहुत बड़ी गिरावट की आशंका नहीं है। जिस तरह से बाजार में गिरावट बढ़ी है, इसको देखते हुए निफ्टी में 8400 के नीचे जाने की आशंका से इनकार नहीं किया जा सकता है।
सेना के बयानों से युद्ध जैसी स्थिति नहीं झलक रही है, ऐसे में बाजार में गिरावट से घबराने की जरूरत नहीं है। बल्कि, बाजार की इस गिरावट में खरीदारी का मौका ढूंढ़ना चाहिए।

भारतीय फौज ने एलओसी पर पाकिस्तान की ओर से आए आतंकियों पर जबरदस्त हमला बोला है। आज पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी की अगुवाई में हुई सीसीएस की बैठक के सेना के डीजीएमओ लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल रणवीर सिंह ने प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में विस्तार से इसकी जानकारी दी।
सेना के डीजीएमओ लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल रणवीर सिंह ने कहा कि सेना ने कल रात एलओसी पर सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक किया जिसमें आतंकियों को भारी नुकसान हुआ है। कई आतंकी इसमें मारे गए हैं। पक्की जानकारी के बाद हमारी सेना ने आतंकियों पर सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक किया। इसकी जानकारी बाद में हमने पाकिस्तान को दे दी।
उन्होंने कहा कि हमें पक्की जानकारी मिली थी कि कल कई आतंकी भारत में घुसपैठ की फिराक में थे, लेकिन सेना ने सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक कर इसे नाकाम कर दिया गया। अब ऑपरेशन खत्म कर दिया गया है।
डीजीएमओ के मुताबिक आतंकियों के 3-4 लॉन्चपैड पर सेना ने हमला बोला जिसमें आतंकियों को तगड़ा नुकसान पहुंचा। इसे कल रात अंजाम दिया गया। आतंकियों से बरामद हथियारों पर पाकिस्तान के निशान हैं। सरकार के सूत्रों के मुताबिक इस ऑपरेशन की जानकारी राष्ट्रपति, उप राष्ट्रपति, पूर्व पीएम मनमोहन सिंह, जम्मू कश्मीर के गवर्नर और मुख्यमंत्री को दी गई।
वहीं पाकिस्तान मीडिया के हवाले से खबर आई है कि पाकिस्तानी पीएम नवाज शरीफ ने बयान दिया कि हम इस हमले की निंदा करते हैं। शांति की पहल को हमारी कमजोरी ना समझा जाए। पाकिस्तान के इंटर सर्विसेज पब्लिक रिलेशंस ने कहा कि भारतीय सेना ने भीमबेर, हॉटस्प्रिंग, केल और लिपा सेक्टर पर धावा बोला।
Wal-Mart in talks to buy stake in Indian online retailer Flipkart
Wal-Mart Stores Inc is in talks to buy a minority stake in India's largest e-commerce firm Flipkart, two people familiar with the matter said, as the world's biggest retailer aims to break into a fast growing but highly competitive online retail market.

A deal would pit Wal-Mart against U.S. rival Amazon.com Inc , which has been expanding rapidly in a market that Bank of America Merrill Lynch has forecast will surge to $220 billion in value of goods sold by 2025 from about $11 billion last year.
Wal-Mart operates 21 wholesale stores in the South Asian country, but is discouraged from setting up its own bricks-and-mortar shops by rules that limit foreign ownership for multi-brand retailers to 51 percent and the cost of setting up shops in a country as large as India.
For Flipkart, a cash infusion from Wal-Mart would come in handy at a time when funding from traditional investors into the online space such as venture capital is proving harder to obtain amid worries about valuations in India.
Uber expands food delivery business into South Africa
Uber Technologies starts its UberEats food-delivery service in South Africa on Thursday before expanding in the rest of the country and into the continent, it said on Wednesday.
It will begin delivering meals in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg, South Africa's largest city, before moving across the Gauteng province and to Cape Town in 2017, Uber Operations and Logistics Manager Dave Kitley told.
Uber is making an aggressive global drive into takeaway meal deliveries, gearing up with a big staff recruitment campaign to enter at least 22 more countries. UberEats already operates in six countries and will launch in Amsterdam on Thursday.
Uber launched its ride-hailing service in South Africa in 2013 and since then the service has grown to over 4,000 drivers in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth.

India strikes terror camps on Line of Control
The Indian Army has conducted surgical strikes crossing the Line of Control (LoC) into Pakistan Occupied Kashmir inflicting significant damage to the terrorist infrastructure across the border.
The operations took place on Wednesday night and is now over, Director General of Military Operations Lt General Ranbir Singh told media in New Delhi. He said he had also informed his Pakistani counterpart that India had carried out surgical strikes on Wednesday night.

Sectoral indices tumble over 2% on India's surgical hit
Benchmark indices fell more than 1 percent after DGMO said the Indian Army conducted surgical strike on Pakistan last night.

आर्मी की पीओके के पास सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक के खुलासे के बाद घरेलू बाजारों में भारी बिकवाली देखने को मिलरही है। बीएसई का बेंचमार्क इंडेक्स सेंसेक्स 467 अंक गिरकर 27,525 और एनएसई का निफ्टी 97 अंक गिरकर 8648 पर कारोबार कर रहा है। एनएसई पर फार्मा और एफएमसीजी इंडेक्स को छोड़कर सभी इंडेक्स हरे निशान मे कारोबार कर रहे हैं।
सबसे ज्यादा बढ़ने वाले इंडेक्स में मीडिया इंडेक्स 0.73 फीसदी, रियल्टी 0.38 फीसदी ,बैंक निफ्टी 0.23 फीसदी, ऑटो 0.67 फीसदी, पीएसयू बैंक इंडेक्स 0.58 फीसदी और मेटल इंडेक्स 0.24 फीसदी बढ़कर कारोबार कर रहा है।
बीएसई पर स्मॉल कैप इंडेक्स में अच्छी खरीदारी देखने को मिल रही है। सबसे ज्यादा बढ़ने वाले स्टॉक्स में जीटीएल लिमिटेड 17.11 फीसदी, एमसीएक्स 8.90 फीसदी, गुड इयर 7 फीसदी ,फोर्स मोटर्स 11.34 फीसदी और मेटल फोर्ज 9.95 फीसदी बढ़कर कारोबार कर रहा है।
