Bharat Electronics Ltd falls over 3% as govt begins stake sale

Shares of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) dipped over 3 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange as government set to sell its 5 per cent stake in the company today. Weighed down by the development, shares of company declined as much as 3.20 per cent to hit an intra-day low of Rs 1510.00 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange. 

In a similar fashion, stocks of company tanked 2.99 per cent to Rs 1,513.40 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 28,944.71, up 183.12 points, or 0.64 per cent.
