Shares of Biocon climbed over 2 per cent on the Bombay stock Exchange after the biotechnology major said that its shareholders have approved issue of bonus shares.
Buoyed by the development, shares of the company gained as much as 2.04 per cent to hit an intra-day high of Rs 1018.90 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The scrip was currently trading at Rs 1014.95 against previous close price of Rs 998.50. In a similar fashion, stocks of company were trading 1.82 per cent higher at Rs 1,015.95 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 31,243.18, down 28.10 points or 0.09 per cent, at 11:50 hours.
