Asian Markets Head Higher, with ASX up 0.2%, Kospi Up 0.3%

Asian stocks turned higher Tuesday after a positive lead from Wall Street overnight, with Australia's shares shaking off early losses.

The benchmark ASX 200 erased early losses to trade up 0.22 percent, reversing course after the heavily weighted financial sector turned higher. 

South Korea's Kospi index added 0.33 percent. Japan's markets are closed Tuesday due to the Constitution Day holiday. 

The Nikkei 225 finished down 3.11 percent on Monday, weighed by a surge in the yen against the dollar.
