Ford India said that it has reported over twofold rise in total sales at 19,754 units in June. The company had sold 7,979 units in the same month a year ago. Domestic sales also rose over twofold to 9,469 units in May as against 4,527 units in the same period a year ago, Ford India said in a statement.
Exports during the month zoomed nearly threefold to 10,285 units compared with 3,452 units in June 2015, it added.
Ford India Executive Director (Marketing, Sales, and Service) Anurag Mehrotra said the recent announcements of 7th Pay Commission along with the prediction of normal monsoon and scrappage policy are keeping the industry optimistic about future growth.
