Country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp has reported 1.32 per cent rise in sales at 5,49,533 units in June. The company had sold 5,42,362 units in June 2015, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Supported by growth across multiple segments, it sold 17,45,389 units in the first quarter of the current fiscal as against 16,45,543 units in the year-ago period in spite of subdued rural demand and fewer marriage dates, it added.
The two wheeler major said, "The company will soon introduce Splendor iSmart 110 motorcycle in the market - the first motorcycle to have been completely developed by the in-house R&D team at Hero MotoCorp.
