The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 197.50 points at 29,818 and the 50-share NSE Nifty gained 38 points at 9,211.75 while the Nifty Midcap climbed 0.7 percent and Smallcap was up 0.9 percent. About 1847 shares advanced against 704 declining shares on the BSE.
