Excited about stimulating entrepreneurship in India: LinkedIn

LinkedIn is aligning some of its India strategies with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives like Digital India, Skill India and Make in India. 

 

Jeff Weiner, Chief Executive of the social network for professionals, who met with Modi, said that he is most excited about stimulating and reinforcing entrepreneurship, creating economic opportunities and ensuring people have skills for the jobs that are present and will be created. 

 

The duo talked about areas LinkedIn and India could work together, besides exploring opportunities to expand in India, Weiner told CNBC-TV18. 

 

On Monday, LinkedIn launched three products — mobile site LinkedIn Lite; a product for college placements Linkedin Placements; and LinkedIn Starter Pack for startups and small businesses.
