Zee Media Corp Swings to Profit in June Quarter
Leading media & entertainment firm Zee Media Corporation Ltd (ZMCL) has swung to profit in the first quarter mainly on account of lower expenses and has posted a net profit of Rs 0.09 crore during the April-June quarter ended June 30, 2016. “The consolidated net loss of the company stood at Rs 6.4 crore during the same period a year ago,” said Zee Media Corporation Ltd in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
However, its consolidated total income from operations decreased by 5.2 per cent to Rs 128.24 crore during June quarter of FY17, as compared to Rs 135.27 crore during the same period last year. It’s total expenses declined to Rs 120.83 crore, during the quarter under review, as against Rs 132.45 crore during the April-June quarter of FY 16.
