ICICI Pru IPO: Anchor investors get Rs 1,635-cr worth shares
Ahead of its mega IPO worth up to Rs 6,057 crore, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance is believed to have allotted shares worth Rs 1,635 crore to a clutch of marquee investors from India and abroad, including Singapore Government, Nomura and a pension trust for Boeing employees.
The public offer, biggest for Indian markets in about six years and the first-ever by an insurer in the country, would open for bidding on September 19 and is scheduled to close on September 21, during which shares would be offered in a price band of Rs 300-334 per share. Shares have been allotted to the anchor investors at the top-end of the price band and marks one of the biggest anchor investor placements in the Indian IPO market.
