Sensex rises 100 pts, Nifty above 8750

Tyre maker MRF shares crossed the Rs 50,000 mark for the first time to hit a record high of Rs 50,190, up 7.8 percent intraday. 

 

Its current futures & options lot size reduced to 15 shares, which was used to be 125 shares earlier.
