Shares of Bharti Airtel
fell nearly 4 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the telecom major reported nearly 55 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 503.7 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2016, as against Rs 1,108.1 crore in the same period a year ago. Weighed down by Q3 earnings, shares of company tanked as much as 3.82 per cent to hit intra-day low of Rs 304.10 apiece on Bombay Stock Exchange.
In a similar fashion, stocks of firm fell 1.66 per cent to Rs 311.25 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 27,519.36, up 143.78 points, or 0.53 per cent.
