Shares of Delta Corp rose nearly 3 percent on the Bombay Stock Exchange as investors hunted for bargains after a six-day losing streak. The stocks saw sharp selling in last six trading session after media reported a possible merger of Daman and Diu - a coastal Union Territory (UT) - with the state of Gujarat. Snapping losing streak, shares of the company gained as much as 2.98 percent to hit an intra-day high of Rs 174.30 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
