The market has opened flat on Budget day. The Sensex is up 16.91 points at 27672.87 and the Nifty is up 8.20 points at 8569.50. About 166 shares have advanced, 66 shares declined, and 79 shares are unchanged. Lupin, SBI, Adani Ports, Hero Moto and Wipro are gainers while ICICI Bank, Infosys, TCS and Sun Pharma are losers in the Sensex. The Indian rupee gained in the opening trade. It has opened higher by 22 paise at 67.65 per dollar against previous close 67.87.
