The Sensex is down 127.71 points or 0.5 percent at 26635.75,
and the Nifty slipped 33.55 points or 0.4 percent at 8170.05.
About 1220 shares have advanced, 1354 shares declined, and 182 shares are unchanged.
BHEL, NTPC, Lupin, Reliance and Bharti Airtel were top gainers while Tata Steel, GAIl, Coal India, Tata Motors and SBIwere losers in the Sensex.
