NALCO plunges 7% as government begins stake sale

Shares of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) tumbled 7 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the government begun offloading 10 per cent stake in the company through an offer for sale (OFS) today. Weighed down by the development, shares of the company declined as much as 7.01 percent to hit intra-day low of Rs 68.30 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The scrip was currently trading at Rs 68.50 against previous close price of Rs 73.45.
