Maggi back to leadership position with 57% mkt shr: Nestle India

Interest rate cut coupled with good monsoon should translate into healthy demand and investments, says Nestle India CMD, Suresh Narayanan. Certainly fast moving consumer goods should benefit too, he says. On business performance, he says the company’s key product – Maggi – has regained lost stead and commands nearly 57 percent market share. 

 

New variants of Maggi have also received a good response, he says, adding, other non-noodle products like dairy and chocolates are also seeing traction. India emerges a winner right now considering the global economic gloom and will be a beneficiary of fund inflows.
