Arunachal inks MoU with Andhra Pradesh
Arunachal Pradesh has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Andhra Pradesh-based company for development of Oil Palm in the state. The MoU was signed here between state agriculture department and Ruchi Soya Industries, to cover an area of 5,000 hectare initially in the foothill areas of West Siang, Lower Subansiri, Papumpare and East Kameng districts, an official statement said today.
The state's Oil Palm potential areas have been divided into four zones and implementation of the production programme under central sector scheme on National Mission on Oilseeds and Oil Palm (NMOOP, Mini Mission-II) was started from 2013-14 in other zones. The MoU signed was in respect of Zone-IV comprising four districts. Most encouraging aspect of the programme is assured buy back system by the developers for processing. Planting material is grown and managed mechanically in the locality of plantation by the developers.
The initiative is a step towards gainful utilization of the vast land resource of the state for economic development through farming operation. Agriculture Secretary Talem Tapok along with Director (Agri-Marketing), Corporate Head of Ruchi Soya Industries (Oil Palm division) P Mallesham accompanied by the DGM (Plantation) and Manager (Plantation) were present in the MoU signing function, the statement added.

कोटक महिंद्रा ने बीएसएस माइक्रोफाइनेंस का अधिग्रहण किया
कोटक महिंद्रा बैंक ने शुक्रवार को बीएसएस माइक्रोफाइनेंस के अधिग्रहण की घोषणा । कंपनी ने गैर बैंकिंग वित्तीय कंपनी बीएसएस के 99.49 फीसदी शेयर खरीद लिए।
हालांकि यह सौदा शेयरधारकों और नियामकों (आरबीआई समेत) की मंजूरी के बाद ही पूरी होगी। कोटक महिंद्रा ने यह सौदा पूरी तरह नगद किया है। बीएएस की 30 जून को शुद्ध संपत्ति लगभग 73 करोड़ रुपये थी और इसने कुल 483 करोड़ रुपये के कर्ज बांटे हैं।
कोटक ने बीएसएस का अधिग्रहण 139.2 करोड़ रुपये में किया। इस बारे में कोटक महिंद्रा बैंक के अध्यक्ष (वाणिज्यिक बैंकिंग) नारायण एसए ने कहा, "वित्तीय समावेशन हमारे देश की अनिवार्यताओं में से एक है। और यह अधिग्रहण वाणिज्यिक रूप से व्यवहार्य तरीके से समाज के कमजोर वर्गों की जरूरतें पूरी करने के लिए हमारी प्रतिबद्धता का प्रमाण है।" बीएसएस माइक्रोफाइनेंस के प्रमोटर, अध्यक्ष सह प्रबंध निदेशक डॉ. रमेश बेल्लमकोंडा ने कहा, "हमारी संस्था अच्छी प्रणालियों और प्रक्रियाओं के साथ एक शानदार टीम है।

ओला ने लोकेशन और मैपिंग को किया अपडेट, होगी आसानी
परिवहन एप ओला ने अपनी मैपिंग को अपडेट किया है। इससे अब ग्राहक कैब चालक को अपनी सटीक लोकेशन खुद से भी भेज सकेंगे। साथ ही ओला अब पिछली बुकिंग लोकेशन के आधार पर भी अपनी मैप को अपडेट करती रहेगी, ताकि ओला ड्राइवरों को ग्राहकों तक पहुंचने में आसानी हो।
ओला ने एक बयान जारी कर शुक्रवार को यह जानकारी दी। ओला ने लोकप्रिय 'हॉटस्पॉट्स' अर्थात अधिक मांग वाले क्षेत्र, जैसे टेक पार्क, हाउसिंग कॉलोनी, मॉल एवं सार्वजनिक जगहों आदि को चिन्हित किया है। लोगों को इस तरह की जगहों से अपनी राईड बुक करते समय ड्राइवरों के लोकेशन का पता लगाने में काफी समय बर्बाद होता है। इस सुविधा के शुरू होने से इसमें आसानी होगी और समय की भी बचत होगी।
अब ग्राहक के बुकिंग स्थान में पिक-अप प्वाइंट, बुकिंग एवं बोडिर्ंग पैटर्न्स के आधार पर एप स्वत: ही मौजूदा पिक-अप स्थान का सुझाव देता है। हालांकि ग्राहक चाहें तो इसे बदल सकते हैं। ग्राहक के राईड बुक कराने के साथ ही उनके पास उनके ड्राइवरों से दिशा साझा करने के लिए 'शेयर डायरेक्शन' का विकल्प होगा।
हालांकि, ओला का जीपीएस और नेविगेशन ड्राइवर को उनके पिकअप लोकेशन तक पहुंचने में मार्गदर्शन करता है, लेकिन इस विशेषता के जरिए उपयोगकर्ता अपनी पिक-अप की जगह के किसी निकटतम मशहूर स्थान के बारे में बता सकते हैं जिसके बारे में ड्राइवर को तत्काल जानकारी दे दी जायेगी।

Five Sets of GST draft rules approved by Council: Arun Jaitley
Five sets of draft rules relating to registration, payments, returns and refunds under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime were approved by the GST Council here on Friday, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said. Briefing media after the meeting here, Jaitley said the big task of GST rates, service tax assessments and compensation for the states remained yet unresolved and will be decided in the Council's next meeting on October 18-20.

"Rules for registration, payments, returns, refunds approved by Council," Jaitley said adding, "rates would be the big item to be discussed in next meet. Discussion regarding service tax assessments, states' compensation will also continue in next meet."
EPFO to launch Aadhar-linked Services by March 2017
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) on Friday said it will launch a host of Aadhar-linked services like Provident Fund (PF) withdrawals and pension fixation by March 2017 for its four crore subscribers to facilitate faster transactions.
"With the facilitation of technology, the EPFO has begun to computerise most of its operations and now the time has come that this exercise is almost complete for PF and pension accounts for all its subscribers," EPFO Commissioner V.P. Joy said here. "If all goes well, the electronic Aadhar-linked transactions for all EPFO subscribers would enable them conclude such transactions without any legwork latest by March 2017," Joy said.
He was speaking at a seminar on Employees' Provident Fund Organisations's initiatives -- Simplification of EPF and Miscellaneous Provisions Act and the schemes framed under it. "At present, 1.5 crore subscribers of EPFO are seeded with Aadhar-linked PF accounts and the challenge for the organisation is to equip the remaining subscribers with these facilities for which all out efforts are being made so that it becomes effective by forthcoming March 31," Joy added.

Bharat Petroleum and IOC launch LNG buy Tenders
India's Bharat Petroleum has launched a tender seeking three liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes in total for delivery in October, November and December, trade sources said.
Indian Oil Corporation is also seeking one cargo for November delivery via tender, the sources said.

Telecom Operators tell Watchdog Jio violating Tariff Norms
Against the backdrop of Reliance Jio demanding additional intercommention points from incumbent operators, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea and Telenor told the regulator on Friday that it was the new entrant that was violating the tariff norms.
"The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) will look into the matter and revert as soon as possible," one of the company officials who attended the meeting said, based porportedly on what Chairman R.S. Sharma said during the 90-minute meet.
On September 1, Jio had announced zero-tariff scheme for domestic voice calls in perpetuity with sharply lower data rates. "Customers should pay for only one service, either voice or data. Not both," Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani had said.

India's end-June External debt at $479.7 Billion
India's end-June external debt was at $479.7 billion, down $5.4 billion from end-March, largely driven by lower offshore borrowings by companies, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said on Friday.
The decline in external debt was partly offset by valuation gains of $1.4 billion, due to appreciation of the dollar against the Indian rupee and other major currencies. Excluding the valuation effect, the decline in external debt would have been $4.0 billion, the RBI said in a statement.
On a residual maturity basis, short-term debt constituted 42.4 percent of total external debt at end-June, compared with 42.6 percent at end-March. The share of short-term debt residual maturity to India's forex reserves was 55.9 percent at end-June compared with 57.4 percent at end-March.
