In further relief to people hit by demonetisation, the Reserve Bank today gave borrowers another 30 days over and above 60 days for repayment of housing, car, farm and other loans worth up to Rs 1 crore. "On a review, it has been decided to provide 30 days, in addition to the 60 days provided (on November 21)," the RBI said in a notification. So, borrowers together get 90 days breather from getting the account classified under non-performing asset (NPA) category. The above dispensation will apply to dues payable between November 1, and December 31, 2016.

Investors seem to be on edge as the Sensex is up 23.01 points at 26233.69. The Nifty is up 14.45 points or 0.2 percent at 8049.30. About 1404 shares have advanced, 674 shares declined, and 139 shares are unchanged. ONGC, GAIL, TCS, HDFC and NTPC are top gainers while Adani Ports, ITC,Hero MotoCorp, L&T and Bajaj Auto are losers in the Sensex. Gold prices rose 0.58 percent toRs 27,383 per 10 grams in futures trade after speculators widened their bets, taking positive cues from global markets. Rise in the precious metal in global markets, influenced gold prices at futures trade here. Meanwhile, gold climbed as much as 0.67 percent to USD 1,149.30 an ounce in Singapore today.

5 coaches of Kurla-Ambernath local derail in Thane

Five coaches of the Kurla-Ambernath local train derailed this morning between Kalyan and Vitthalwadi stations in Thane district. No one was injured in the mishap that took place at 5:53 AM. Services were disrupted on the Central Line of Mumbai suburban railway, while they were suspended on the Kalyan-Karjat line. The incident comes a day after the Ajmer-Sealdah express derailed while it was crossing a bridge near Rura Railway Station in Kanpur Rural district of Uttar Pradesh, leaving 62 passengers injured.

Demonetisation to improve GDP by 2%, hike tax base

Demonetisation is a radical reform that will change the way of life, believes Minister of State for Finance Arjun Ram Meghwal. The move will increase the tax base and improve Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2 percent if completed. Once the entire process of cash ban is completed, consumption and investments will pick-up rapidly. The cash collected at the end will be disclosed by the central bank at right time. Any dividend from the Reserve Bank of India will come post demonetisation.

The market seems to be cautious ahead of Futures and Options (F&O) expiry today. The Sensex is up 14.17 points at 26224.85 and the Nifty is up 9 points at 8043.85. About 1087 shares have advanced, 561 shares declined, and 90 shares are unchanged. TCS, Axis Bank, Infosys, ONGC and NTPC are top gainers while Adani Ports, ITC, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto and Tata Motors are losers in the Sensex. US oil prices fell following a surprise build in the country's crude stocks shown in data published by the American Petroleum Institute (API). Gold prices rose as the US dollar slipped against a basket of currencies, but gains were limited on expectations of more rate hikes by the U.S. Federal Reserve next year.

FreeCharge and Faasos tie up for e-wallet payment solution

Snapdeal owned digital payments platform FreeCharge today said it has tied up with food-on-demand firm Faasos for e-wallet payment solution. FreeCharge currently provides e-payment facility to various food and beverages category players like foodpanda, Zomato, Swiggy, Freshmenu, Innerchef, Domino's, Mcdonalds, Haldiram's, CCD and Barista. The tie up with Faasos gives both the partners a potential to serve each others customer base and opens avenues of future innovative launches for their customers," FreeCharge Chief Business Officer Sudeep Tandon said in a statement.

एनएसई ने आईपीओ के लिए सेबी को दी अर्जी

एनएसई ने कल देर शाम अपने आईपीओ के लिए सेबी को अर्जी दे दी है। काफी लंबे इंतजार के बाद एनएसई का आईपीओ आ रहा है। कल ही एनएसई ने इसके लिए सेबी के पास ड्राफ्ट प्रॉस्पेक्टस फाइल किया है।

एनएसई की इस आईपीओ से 10,000 करोड़ रुपये जुटाने की योजना है। एनएसई का मार्केट कैप 40,000 करोड़ रुपये है। मार्केट कैप के लिहाज एनएसई के शेयर का भाव 8,889 प्रति शेयर आ रहा है। सिटी, कोटक, मॉर्गन स्टैनली, जेएम फाइनेंशियल इस आईपीओ के मर्चेंट बैंकर होंगे।

बता दें कि एनएसई के आईपीओ की वजह से आईएफसीआई और आईडीबीआई बैंक के शेयरों में आज हलचल रहेगी क्योंकि एनएसई में आईएफसीआई की 3.1 फीसदी और आईडीबीआई बैंक की 1.5 फीसदी हिस्सेदारी है। जानकारों का कहना है कि एनएसई के आईपीओ से आईएफसीआई, आईडीबीआई बैंक और एमसीएक्स को फायदा होगा।

घरेलू बाजारों की शुरुआत हल्की बढ़त के साथ हुई है। सेंसेक्स और निफ्टी की चाल सुस्त नजर आ रही है। निफ्टी 8050 के आसपास ही है, जबकि सेंसेक्स में 50 अंकों की मामूली बढ़त दिख रही है।

मिडकैप और स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में अच्छी खरीदारी देखने को मिल रही है। बीएसई के मिडकैप इंडेक्स में 0.5 फीसदी की तेजी आई है, जबकि निफ्टी का मिडकैप 100 इंडेक्स 0.4 फीसदी तक बढ़ा है। बीएसई का स्मॉलकैप इंडेक्स 0.5 फीसदी तक उछला है।

आईटी, मेटल, फार्मा, बैंकिंग, कंज्यूमर ड्यूरेबल्स, कैपिटल गुड्स और ऑयल एंड गैस शेयरों में खरीदारी देखने को मिल रही है। बैंक निफ्टी 0.25 फीसदी बढ़कर 17,915 के स्तर पर पहुंच गया है, जबकि निफ्टी के पीएसयू बैंक इंडेक्स में 0.3 फीसदी की बढ़त दर्ज की गई है। हालांकि एफएमसीजी और ऑटो शेयरों में थोड़ा दबाव नजर आ रहा है।

फिलहाल बीएसई का 30 शेयरों वाला प्रमुख इंडेक्स सेंसेक्स 27 अंकों की बढ़त के साथ 26,238 के स्तर पर कारोबार कर रहा है। वहीं एनएसई का 50 शेयरों वाला प्रमुख इंडेक्स निफ्टी 11.5 अंक बढ़कर 8046.5 के स्तर पर कारोबार कर रहा है।
