The market has started tepid on Friday. The Sensex is down 6.99 points at 28122.85 and the Nifty is up 9.20 points or 0.1 percent at 8708.60. 

 

About 397 shares have advanced, 115 shares declined, and 35 shares are unchanged. Dr Reddy's Labs, Lupin, Bajaj Auto, TCS and Hero MotoCorp are top gainers. 

 

HCL Tech is up 3 percent after announcing its better-than-expected Q2 results. ICICI, Axis Bank, HDFC, SBI and ONGC are losers in the Sensex.
