जीएसटी लागू होने से पहले सरकार सभी पुराने टैक्स विवाद निपटाना चाहती है। इसके लिए हर जोन में एक खास टीम तैनात की जाएगी। आयुक्त स्तर का अधिकारी टीम लीडर होगा। इस टीम पर एक्साइज और सर्विस टैक्स से जुड़े विवाद निपटाने की जिम्मेदारी होगी।सूत्रों की मानें तो इस टीम का मकसद जो विवाद कोर्ट या ट्रिब्यूनल में नहीं गए हैं उन्हें निपटाना है। 

सरकार ने दिसंबर तक टैक्स विवादों को निपटाने का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया है। सीएजी की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक 31 मार्च 2016 तक टैक्स डिमांड के 2.43 लाख मामले पेंडिंग हैं, जबकि टैक्स रिफंड के 76151 मामले पेंडिंग हैं।

Nifty consolidates for 3rd consecutive day

Shares of tractor manufacturer Escorts touched a 52-week high of Rs 569.70, up 4 percent intraday Tuesday as the company reported a double-digit growth in tractor sales during January-March quarter. The company sold 4,899 units of tractors in April, a growth of 20 percent over 4,086 units sold in same month last year. The stock of Uttam Galva Steels Ltd on Tuesday surged more than 8% during pre-lunch hours on BSE. The stock is trading up by 8.77% at Rs 33.50 at 12:35 PM IST. The company reported a net profit of Rs 138.89 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 2017, as against a net loss of Rs 671.47 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 2016. The result was announced after market hours on Friday, 28 April 2017. The stock witnessed a spurt in the volume by more than 8.36 times. The stock hit a high of Rs 34.50 and a low of Rs 32.35 so far during the day.

Profit booking on D-Street; Nifty hovers around 9300

After a strong surge in the morning hours, the Bank Nifty index is seen to pared its gains in the pre-lunch hours. Bank Nifty is trading flat at 22361 levels. Federal Bank continues to be the top gainer in the index. The stock is trading higher by 5.9% at Rs 113.95 per share. Nifty is hovering around the crucial level of 9300. Indiabulls Housing Finance is the top gainer in the index trading higher by 3.6% at Rs 1054.15 per share. There are 736 advances, 892 declines and 346 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting fairly negative bias floating in the markets.

Reliance Communications provides update on demerger of tower division of Reliance Infratel

The shareholders of Reliance Infratel (RITL), a subsidiary of Reliance Communications (RCOM) at their meeting convened on 29 April 2017 pursuant to the order of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), have approved with 98% majority the Scheme of Arrangement for demerger of the Tower division of the RITL into Towercom Infrastructure (TIPL). Upon the completion of the demerger, through a Scheme of Arrangement, and the completion of certain other conditions and approvals, Rapid Holdings 2, a company which is a part of the Brookfield Infrastructure Group will acquire 100% of TIPL and thereby creating the second largest independent and operator-neutral Towers company in India. 

The Shareholders of TIPL, a subsidiary of the Company, have also approved the said Scheme at their meeting held on 29 April 2017, convened under the order of the NCLT. The Company has already received approval from Competition Commission of India for the proposed Scheme of Arrangement. Nifty and Sensex have slipped from their crucial levels in the afternoon hours on Tuesday. Heavyweight Reliance Industries Limited has dragged the Sensex while HDFC Bank Limited has dragged Nifty in negative territory.

Nifty Realty index continues to be the top gainer among the sectoral indices on NSE.

There are 676 advances, 923 declines and 373 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting fairly negative bias floating in the markets.

At 12 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29875 down 42.97 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9297 down 7 points. A total of 96 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 20 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.16% at 14774, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 0.01% at 15371.

Some buying activity is seen in Auto, Information Technology, Finance while Healthcare and Telecom sector, Bankex and Metal sector are showing weakness on BSE.

ONGC, Indiabulls Housing Finance, BPCL, Maruti, and HDFC are among the gainers, whereas ACC, Ambuja Cements, Tata Motors and Bharti Airtel are losing sheen on NSE.

Domestic equity markets are likely to open on a flat note on Tuesday tracking Nifty futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX Nifty) and mixed global cues. SGX Nifty was trading 3.50 points, or 0.04 percent, down at 9,354, indicating a soft start for NSE Nifty index.

Dabur: BSE -0.63 % India: FMCG major Dabur on Monday reported 0.49 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 333.11 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017. It had posted net profit of Rs 331.48 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Nestle: BSE 0.25 % India: Nestle IndiaBSE 0.25 % is exploring ways to bring some products from its 2,000 global brands to the country and also reduce dependency on a single brand, a top company official has said.

Raymond: Diversified group RaymondBSE -3.38 % reported a 38.03 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 33.68 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31. It had posted a net profit of Rs 54.35 crore during the January-March period a year ago, Raymond said in a filing to the BSE.

Asian shares advanced on Tuesday, helped by rising optimism in the technology industry and easing concerns over North Korea, while the Dollar edged up to one-month high versus the yen. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was up 0.1 percent, with many of the region's markets reopening after a long holiday weekend. Japan's Nikkei rose 0.3 percent.

On Wall Street, although the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.13 percent on Monday, the S&P 500 gained 0.17 percent and the Nasdaq Composite added 0.73 percent to a record closing high.

Indian ADRs: Dr Reddy's Lab, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors up

Indian ADRs ended mostly higher on Monday. In the IT space, Wipro was up 0.02 percent at USD 9.85 and Infosys was down 0.01 percent at USD 14.56. In the banking space, ICICI Bank gained 0.12 percent at USD 8.57 and HDFC Bank declined 0.44 percent at USD 79.61. In the other sectors, Tata Motors rose 0.13 percent to USD 35.67 and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories added 0.15 percent at USD 40.85.
